Defense

The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.

Responsibilities

Supports Army CIO-G6 HQDA Enterprise Cloud Management Office (ECMO) with Data Architecture, Cloud Triage, and Migration Support as an Agile Scrum Team member.  As part of a cloud engineering and architecture team, will provide technical expertise on cloud computing technologies and architectures across the CSP landscape including purpose built FedRAMP environments. Assist customers with migration efforts ensuring environments are architected to industry best practices and DoD secure standards. Work as a key contributor on a collaborative, fast-growing, and highly skilled cross functional team. Experience with infrastructure optimization and containerization techniques.

Qualifications

The Senior Cloud Engineer must have experience with the architecture, design and implementation process with the major Cloud Service Providers. The Senior Cloud Engineer must be able to learn about new cloud technologies and understand how to implement cyber security services within current and new environments. Must be able to work with Cloud Service Providers and other providers to architect modern approaches and including Defensive Cyber Operations capabilities to be used at all levels of the Department of Defense. Lead work to define implementation approaches and plans to ensure optimum cloud performance and reliability across the servers, networks, and related utilities and hardware that comprise the cloud infrastructure.  Conduct analysis and make reliable engineering recommendations to ensure six sigma reliability/resiliency of the cloud infrastructure.  They monitor and report on cloud utilization and plan continuous process improvement.

Education:  HS plus 11-14 years’ experience, BA/BS plus 5-10 years, MA/MS plus 3-6 years

Secret Clearance

Information Assurance IT-II Certification (Security+ CE)

Current Computing Environment certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M (AWS and/or Azure) listed below:

Computing Environment certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M

-          AWS - Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (Required)

-          AWS – Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (Desired)

-          OR

-          Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (Required)

-          Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Desired)
