Position Description

CGI is looking for an AWS Application Developer to join the team in Windsor, CT!

This AWS Application Developer will be a key contributor to our Services practice and will have the below responsibilities:

•Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios

•Continuously improve software engineering practices

•Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies

•Write unit tests and automated acceptance tests.

Your future duties and responsibilities

•10+ years experienced in Software Development. Excellent team player with good analytical, strategic planning and interpersonal and communication skills.

• Deep knowledge of best practices commonly used modules and creating self-contained reusable and testable modules and components

•Experience in Openshift migration to AWS.

•Strong expertise with Angular, Node.JS, HTML CSS and writing cross browser compatible code on desktop and mobile based apps.

•Expert in designing front end interfaces using HTML/HTML5, Angular JS , CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX

•In-depth experience with Amazon AWS Cloud Services, (EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, Cloud Watch, Elastic,VPC).

•Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of our customer's Amazon Web Services (AWS) foundational footprint.

•Provide technical expertise through a hands-on approach to develop

•RESTful services by adhering to Technical/Integration Architectures.

•Develop solutions using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) patterns, automating business process models, API enabled gateway and multi/hybrid cloud based service.

•Develop test protocols or plan for testing revised application and review test results.

•May mentor less experienced technical staff; may use high end development tools to assist or facilitate development process.

•Good understanding of Dockers, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline and Maven.

•Development of automated solutions to monitor and support our software development and release processes

•Responsible for design, development, and implementation of Cloud solutions.

•Serve as senior technical resource in development team's efforts to determine the needs of the business that will simplify and automate the applications as well as make them more efficient.

•Participate in the software development life cycle to ensure sound Cloud solutions are implemented.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Bachelors / Master degree with 5 years of experience.
